Criminal Background Check Requirement for Initial Licensure
HB 1 KASPER legislation mandates the Board of Podiatry require criminal background checks performed by the FBI.

National Practitioner Data Bank Self Query Required for Initial Licensure
With the exception of new graduates, all Candidates for a Kentucky Podiatry License are required to obtain a NPDB Self Query, as a part of the application process. To request a Self Query, go to NPDB Self Query.
1.5 Hours Course on KASPER, pain management, or addiction disorders is also required for initial licensure in Kentucky.
